VOLUNTEERING & WORK STUDY
Beyond its small, paid core staff, North Star is staffed entirely by Work-Study college students, interns, and community volunteers. We typically have as many as 40 students and volunteers working with our teens at any given time. Volunteers sign up to teach classes or to tutor students as the need arises.
Think you might be interested? The first step is to read the Staff Handbook. It is a quick and interesting read and will give you important information about our policies, procedures, and approaches to working with teens.

WE ALSO HAVE VOLUNTEER NEEDS for work that benefits, but does not directly involve teens, such as planning and producing fundraising events, flyering, sharing information about North Star, photography, etc. Many hands help North Star thrive!
